Job summary

Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah is seeking a Part-time Critical Care Technician for the Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit to support the patient care team with essential tasks and monitoring. The 12-hour shifts and a total of 12 hours per week accommodate a variable schedule including days, evenings, swings, nights, weekends and holidays.

The role requires CNA/EMT/MA certification with BLS and involves vital signs, EKG duties, patient transfers and supplies management, all while

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• EMT or Paramedic certification in state of practice.
• MA certification from an accredited program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification on hire.
• If doing Point of Care Testing: HS diploma or GED per CLIA.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient care needs by answering call lights and assisting with hygiene.
• Performs 12-lead EKG duties and related tasks within training scope.
• Applies and documents restraints as directed by RN/physician.
• Assists with transfers, admissions, and discharges and safe handling.
• Maintains stock and performs unit secretary duties.
• Reports patient findings promptly and secures help for condition changes.
• Assists with emergency resuscitation and setup for line insertion.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Collaborates with RNs and interdisciplinary team.
• Adheres to infection prevention standards.
