Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced RN for ICU/ Critical Care. The role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process, with night shifts 5p–5:30a, rotating weekends and holidays, and self-scheduling.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
