Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Medical Intensive Care Unit is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for the MICU at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. The position offers a 20-hour weekly schedule with night shifts and day rotation, designed to deliver high‑quality critical care.

You’ll collaborate with physicians, specialists and a multidisciplinary team, using advanced monitoring and treatment strategies to achieve optimal patient outcomes, while advocating for patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN required; ADN considered with BSN commitment within 3 years.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Partner with physicians, specialists, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving interventions.
• Advocate for patients and families during their most vulnerable moments.
• Use advanced monitoring and treatment strategies to achieve the best outcomes.
