HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in Webster, TX, seeks an experienced Emergency Room Nurse Manager for the ICU/Critical Care, leading a high-volume, multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma Center.

This role oversees clinical operations, budget, staff development, and evidence-based practice initiatives across units, with responsibilities including monthly meetings, governance, and ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program (diploma/ADN/BSN).
• Texas RN license or Multistate Compact; obtain Texas license within 90 days.
• ACLs and PALS required within specified timelines; ENPC/NIH Stroke Scale within timeframes.
• 3-5 years ER experience; 1 year leadership in hospital/healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Drives mission, nursing standards, patient satisfaction across units.
• Develops unit-specific goals and documents progress for leadership.
• Encourages frontline staff to use evidence-based practices.
• Conducts monthly staff meetings and shares updates.
• Prepares and manages budgets and resources.
• Controls overtime, PTO, and Nursing Hours per Patient Day.
