Job summary

Duke Raleigh Campus ICU is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant (CNA) for night shifts to support RN/LPNs in providing high-quality patient care. The NA will assist with basic care, charting, and ensuring safety in a busy ICU environment.

The role requires completing a North Carolina Nurse Aide program or equivalent and maintaining BCLS certification. Experience in clinical settings is preferred, with opportunities for professional development and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Completion of NC Nurse Aide I program or NC Nurse Aide I competency test.
• Pre-employment Physical Capacity Testing may be required.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Obtain and record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of collected information.
• Take and document vital signs, I&O, assist with ambulation and feeding.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients and maintain infection control.
