Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Clinical Team Lead/Charge Nurse to act as shift leader, resource nurse, and advocate for patient care and safety while managing ICU staff on duty.
The role involves direct and indirect patient care, head-to-toe assessments, pain management education, plan-of-care revisions, and collaboration with physicians, nurse manager, and interdisciplinary teams, with duties expanding as needed.
Clinical Team Lead/Charge nurse functions as the shift leader and resource nurse who advocates for patient care and safety as well as managing all shift staff members. As needed, the Charge nurse will also provide direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting. Communicate with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers and interdisciplinary team, as appropriate about changes in patient’s condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology. Charge nurse will be able and prepared to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision to include the duties of the Registered Nurse. Additional responsibilities will be listed on separate document “Charge Nurse Responsibilities” and will be adjusted as Manager and unit needs arise.

Education/Certification: Graduate of an accredited RN program. Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC and renewals as required. Complete a Basic Dysrhythmia competency assessment on hire.
Experience: At least 4 years of ICU nursing experience prior to eligibility for ICU Clinical Team Lead position. Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
