Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred or higher.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative responsibility for the department services and collaborate with the unit Director/Manager.
• In the absence of the Director/Manager, assume administrative scope for the unit.
• Develop and implement departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee orientation and training of personnel and communicate with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Ensure quality of staff and functions during shifts; supervise and evaluate personnel and ensure efficient department operations.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within scope of practice and continually assess care to direct changes in the care plan.
