Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Clinical Social Worker-MSW to deliver biopsychosocial assessments, trauma-informed interventions, and advocacy for diverse patients and families. Under clinical supervision, you will engage with interdisciplinary teams and manage casework including crisis intervention and linkage to services.

The role emphasizes weekly outpatient transitions and timely documentation, with licensure requirements and ongoing supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s Degree (MSW) from an accredited School of Social Work.
• Must sit for the LCSW Certification exam within the first 90 days from date of hire and obtain LCSW within 6 months.
• Generally 1–2 years of social work experience; pre-MS W experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and trauma assessments.
• Provide trauma-informed, crisis interventions and safety planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with community resources.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation in medical records.
• Document each patient encounter with date, time, title and signature.
