Job summary

Career Land Center is seeking a Critical Care ICU Clinical Pharmacist for a regional medical center in Independence, MO. You will join daily multidisciplinary and bedside rounds as the critical care subject-matter expert and review drug therapy for interactions, allergies, and dosing.

Responsibilities include antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV-to-PO conversion and renal dosing, plus maintaining controlled substance records and precepting

Qualifications

• 1 year ICU/critical care pharmacist experience.
• PharmD or BS from an ACPE-accredited school.
• Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency or fellowship, OR relevant acute care pharmacy experience.
• Board certification in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or a relevant BPS specialty, maintained.
• Pharmacist with Medication Therapy Management (PHARM-MTM).
• PGY2 specialty residency highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join daily multidisciplinary and bedside rounds as the critical care subject-matter expert.
• Review drug therapy for interactions, allergies and dosing; recommend cost-effective alternatives.
• Participate in antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management.
• Conduct IV-to-PO conversions and renal dosing.
• Maintain controlled substance records; precept students and residents; serve on committees.
