Job summary

Career Land Center is seeking a Critical Care ICU Clinical Pharmacist for a regional medical center in Independence, MO. You will join daily multidisciplinary and bedside rounds as the critical care subject-matter expert and review drug therapy for interactions, allergies, and dosing.

Responsibilities include antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV-to-PO conversion and renal dosing, plus maintaining controlled substance records and precepting

Qualifications

• 1 year ICU/critical care pharmacist experience.
• PharmD or BS from an ACPE-accredited school.
• Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency or fellowship, OR relevant acute care pharmacy experience.
• Board certification in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or a relevant BPS specialty, maintained.
• Pharmacist with Medication Therapy Management (PHARM-MTM).
• PGY2 specialty residency highly preferred.

About the role

You will review drug therapy for interactions, allergies and dosing, and recommend cost-effective alternatives. You will take part in antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV-to-PO conversion and renal dosing. You will also maintain controlled substance records, precept students and residents, and serve on committees.

Requirements

• 1 year of ICU / critical care pharmacist experience
• BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school (PharmD preferred)
• Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency or fellowship, OR relevant acute care pharmacy experience
• Board certification in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or a relevant BPS specialty, maintained
• Pharmacist with Medication Therapy Management (PHARM-MTM)
• PGY2 specialty residency highly preferred

Schedule: Primarily days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with every fourth weekend
