Job summary

Penn Medicine's Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Beacon Award winning SICU team for a full-time night shift. The SICU nursing team collaborates with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacists and rehab therapists to provide high-quality care for our patients and support their families.

The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague provides patient care through the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• More than 15 months of relevant nursing experience and completion of the Nurse Residency Program, if applicable.
• Registered Nurse license in PA is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through the nursing process as part of the SICU team.
• Collaborate with interprofessional care team to coordinate care.
• Deliver patient-centered care considering age and psychosocial needs.
• Engage in CQI, evidence-based practice, leadership, safety and teamwork.
• Respond to emergencies as part of rapid response and code teams.
