Job summary

Qualifications

• Maryland RN license or eligibility per compact rules.
• Up-to-date status on all mandatory training.
• One year nursing experience; solid knowledge and clinical skills.
• Diploma in nursing or Associate's Degree in nursing.
• Current BLS certification; unit-based licensure as defined.
• Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.
• Recent clinical experience in a comparable setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides independent care to unit-specific patient population; serves as clinical resource for others.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care addressing patient/family needs.
• Assists in unit-based process activities: Performance Improvement, Professional Development, etc.
• Orients Clinical Nurse I to unit level decision making structure and councils.
