Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Clinical Associate for our 12-bed adult ICU in Roanoke, VA. The role combines clinical and clerical duties, including EMR use, patient transport, and coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges.

A phlebotomy option may be available with proper certification and leadership consent. The position offers day/evening/night shifts, every other weekend, rotating holidays, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates who meet guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• N.A. certification required or obtainable.
• Phlebotomy training/certification if performing that task.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support under licensed staff.
• Assist with phlebotomy tasks where certified and needed.
• Maintain EMR accuracy, records, and patient scheduling.
• Assist admissions, transfers, and discharges; coordinate patient flow.
