Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare in Utah seeks an RN Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership on their shift and department. You will coordinate staffing, mentor team members, and ensure care is delivered within policy and licensure guidelines.

The role requires proven ICU experience, strong assessment and care coordination skills, and a commitment to quality improvement. This is a full-time night shift position with emphasis on patient safety and team accountability.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit Specific Certification as required (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
• RN promoted into this role must obtain BSN within four years of hire/promotion.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social, and psychological status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and educate on the plan of care.
• Plan and prepare patients for further support needs after current episode of care.
• Direct care team through delegation and coordination.
• Prioritize and organize patient care delivery; manage time, supplies, resources.
• Evaluate outcomes and revise plans as needed; ensure documentation and compliance.
• Practice professionally and coach staff; enforce standards and accountability.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance; activate rapid response when needed.
• Participate in quality improvement in clinical care, service experience, and operations.
