Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in Georgia.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification prior to independent administration.
• NRP by end of orientation.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months.
• PEARS certification within Piedmont Athens Hospital.
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients.
• ACLS and PALS required in Emergency Department scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle during the shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader.
• Serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)

RN licensure in Georgia
