Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate delivery of quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle, addressing operational issues during shifts. Ideal candidates hold an RN license in Georgia, BCLS and ACLS/PALS, and have multiple certifications. This on-site role requires strong teamwork and leadership within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Certification Required
• PALS Certification Required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) Required
• NRP by the end of orientation period Required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date Required
• PEARS Certification Required
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients Required
• ACLS and PALS Certification Required
• ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients Required
• Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 Days

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
