Job summary

Northwell Health’s Danbury Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for an ICU/CCU role in the Danbury, CT area. The position runs 7:00pm–7:30am on weekends and holidays as contracted, with a 36-hour standard week and a strong emphasis on patient-centered critical care.

Required CT RN license and BLS certification, with at least six months ICU experience or two years in a Stepdown unit. A BSN is preferred; benefits include PTO, health coverage, retirement plans, and more.

Qualifications

• Current CT RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum six months ICU, cardio-thoracic ICU, or 2 years Stepdown ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing assessments focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status.
• Formulates a goal-directed plan of care.
• Implements care in a skilled, consistent manner.
• Establishes care priorities based on patient needs.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and progress toward outcomes.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary functions and ensures compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
