Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking an RN for ICU/CCU to provide professional care, assume accountability, and work with the health care team within a designated time frame. You will utilize the nursing process in collaboration with other team members to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, implementation, prioritization, evaluation, patient education, and compliance with duties. Requires RN licensure and BLS; associates degree in nursing with BSN desired.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Zero to six months of experience minimum; nursing certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing, systematic assessments of physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Develop goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
• Provide care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner.
• Set priorities in collaboration with patient needs and available resources.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and patient progression toward outcomes.
• Identify learning needs of patient and family; implement education measures.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary functions to deliver comprehensive care.
• Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
