Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate nursing activities across the interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on a specific patient population and advancing outcomes through collaboration.

Requirements include an active RN license in New Jersey, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and ACLS preferred. ICU/step-down or ER experience is desired, with BSN preferred and certifications preferred when eligible.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• ACLS certification by American Heart Association is strongly preferred.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required within 60 days of entering position.
• Must have six (6) or more months of nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• 1 year experience in an ICU, step down unit or Emergency room preferred.
• Vent mgmt, Telemetry, ICU competency, Titratable drugs and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BSN is preferred.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• The RN functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve outcomes and coordinates patient care among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
