ProHealth Care is seeking a Critical Care Technician to deliver quality nursing care to ICU patients in a high-acuity environment. You will assist RNs, coordinate care, and support procedures in the ICU.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the ICU and coordinate care within the department and with other departments.
• Assist RN or physician with procedures such as DMR care, drain care, and chest tube suction.
• Set up sterile field and assist with line placements and chest tube insertions.
• Phlebotomy — drawing blood from arterial lines as delegated.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (dressing, toileting, positioning and nourishment).
• Discontinue arterial lines, sheaths, Foley catheters, and IVs.
• Insertion of peripheral IVs and Foley catheters.
• Stock the unit with supplies.
