Job summary

Job Title

Part‑time Critical Care Technician

Location & Hours

Scheduled weekly hours: 30 (60 hours biweekly). 12‑hour rotating shifts 6:30am – 6:30pm and 6:30pm – 6:30am, every third weekend and holiday.

Compensation

Starting hourly rate $18.63 plus shift, weekend and holiday differentials. Compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and assist with the care of critically ill, high‑acuity patients in a 20‑bed LevelII Trauma Intensive Care/Critical Care Unit.
  • Transport and transfer patients within the unit.
  • Set up patient rooms and prepare equipment.
  • Monitor patients using centralized telemetry systems.
  • Collect lab specimens for diagnostic testing.
  • Assist providers with technical procedures such as central line insertion under physician direction.
  • Perform other duties assigned by an RN, MD, PA or NP in Critical Care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum six months of health‑care service experience with direct patient care.
  • Valid Wisconsin license or certification as a CN, CST, LPN, EMT‑B, EMT‑P, or Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCEMT‑P).
  • Current Infant‑Adult Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
