Job summary

Condell Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Clinical Manager for the Intensive Care Unit to oversee evenings/overnights. This full-time role manages a 32-bed ICU with diverse patient cases, including medical, surgical, and cardiac, within a Level 1 Trauma-capable environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, collaboration with physicians and staff, and active involvement in performance improvement and education of unit personnel. Competitive benefits and day-one eligibility are offered.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (Illinois)
• Typically requires 3 years’ experience in the specialty area.
• CPR certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Charge Nurse and assigns patient and non-patient care in a safe, effective manner.
• Maintains staffing requirements per policies and patient volume.
• Collaborates with physicians, management and other healthcare professionals to assure the delivery of quality care and high patient satisfaction.
• Contributes to achieving system, site and unit goals by prioritizing duties and responsibilities.
• Assures accurate reporting of census, acuity and staffing at predetermined times.
• Promotes patient safety by reporting issues and participating in safety initiatives.
