Job summary

Pulmonary Medicine Associates in Northern California has an opening for an Advanced Practice Provider to join our hospital ICU care team in the Greater Sacramento area. This is a full-time position, night shifts required. Training provided.

Competitive salary and excellent benefits. Under a physician's supervision, APPs perform histories and exams, diagnose and treat critically ill adults, order studies, manage ventilators, participate in rounds, and coordinate care with specialists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School offering an Advanced Degree in Nurse Practice (ARNP).
• Current, unrestricted California NP license (ACNP preferred).
• Board certification in relevant specialty.
• Current DEA certificate without restriction.
• ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Under physician supervision, provide ICU care using PMA and hospital protocols.
• Perform histories and physicals for critically ill adults.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute, complex conditions.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate labs and imaging.
• Prescribe medications, fluids, and other therapies.
• Perform invasive procedures and monitor ventilation.
• Participate in rounds and coordinate care across teams.
• Document assessments and plans in the EMR.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
