Job summary

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic ICT Teacher to work in schools across Darlington. We are looking for qualified educators who can deliver engaging technology-based lessons, build digital confidence, and help learners understand how to use ICT tools effectively, responsibly, and independently.

As an Information and Communication Technology Teacher, you will deliver curriculum-focused lessons that combine technical knowledge with practical application,

Qualifications

• Qualified ICT teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Strong ICT knowledge and curriculum understanding.
• Experience delivering ICT or related subjects preferred.
• Experience using educational tech tools.

GSL Education Newcastle Branch are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic ICT Teacher to work in schools across Darlington. We are looking for qualified educators who can deliver engaging technology-based lessons, build digital confidence, and help learners understand how to use ICT tools effectively, responsibly, and independently.

As an Information and Communication Technology Teacher, you will deliver curriculum-focused lessons that combine technical knowledge with practical application, supporting students as they develop digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, and confidence with technology.

ICT Teacher Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons across relevant areas of the ICT curriculum
• Introduce learners to software, digital tools, information systems, and online technologies
• Develop practical digital skills through structured classroom activities and projects
• Encourage safe, responsible, and effective use of technology
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
• Prepare examination groups through targeted revision and assessment activities

ICT Teacher Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• Strong knowledge of ICT and relevant curriculum requirements
• Experience teaching ICT or a closely related subject is desirable
• Confidence using a range of digital applications and educational technologies
• Effective planning, communication, assessment, and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
