Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an ICT Colo Regional Engineer in Austin, TX. You will join a global engineering team to design, deliver, and operate critical infrastructure within AWS data centers.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and control engineers to define pathways, cabling, and construction specs while coordinating with suppliers. As part of AWS, you will travel to project sites, review design submittals, and help scale fiber/copper networks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.).
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• Experience researching new designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of scalable ICT pathway, fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications.
• Review and approve ICT pathway, cable and equipment submittals.
• Identify risks and respond rapidly to high-priority issues.
• Support new technology and design activities to improve infrastructure quality and reduce cost/time.
• Travel 40%+ to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors.
