Job summary

Niagara Region seeks a W-WW ICS Architect to lead design, cybersecurity, resilience, and lifecycle management of water and wastewater OT systems. You’ll establish enterprise architecture, technical standards, and governance for capital projects while serving as senior technical authority.

You will oversee firewall configs, network segmentation, and secure remote access; develop roadmaps, standards, and risk mitigations; collaborate with IT and operations to ensure reliable, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in industrial control systems, SCADA, automation, or OT.
• Knowledge of ICT cybersecurity controls and industry frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST).
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, OT protocols, and secure deployment.
• Must obtain relevant professional certification or be eligible for CET.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership for design, standards, and lifecycle of ICS/OT environments.
• Configures and maintains security controls, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Develops technical requirements and governance for capital projects and initiatives.
• Develops roadmaps, modernization plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversees projects to ensure architecture and cybersecurity standards are met.
