Job summary

Plant-IQ is hiring an IT/OT Control Engineer to design and secure industrial networks for ICS/SCADA in the Buffalo area. You will work with engineers and controls programmers to deliver secure, compliant solutions for water and utility clients.

The role focuses on network architecture, cybersecurity integration, and on-site assessments, with opportunities to implement industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in IT/OT network engineering, industrial cybersecurity, or controls.
• Experience with ICS/SCADA networks in Water/Wastewater/Utilities is strongly preferred.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GICSP, Cisco CCNA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design secure IT/OT network architectures for ICS/SCADA environments.
• Assess OT networks for cybersecurity risks and remediation.
• Support PLC/SCADA system design and integration with project engineers.
• Develop network diagrams, cybersecurity docs, and system hardening guidance.
• Visit customer sites to review networks and gather details.
