FULL TIME - 4PM TO 12AM

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 4pm to 12am

Role and Responsibilities

The Residential Counselor will provide direct support to the residents of Anna's House. All work is performed in accordance with CATCH policies, procedures, and professional mental health standards. The Residential Counselor will be a member of the Residential Service Team with the following major responsibilities:

Brief Outline of Duties
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual plans for clients and prepare them for transition to more structured residential or treatment programs.
  • Provide counseling and training in personal care, life skills, conflict resolution, and related areas.
  • Facilitate interactions among clients and co-lead group activities.
  • Assist clients in learning and achieving activities of daily living.
  • Complete all documentation as instructed.
  • Accompany clients on off-unit activities.
  • Medication administration certification may be required for Personal Care Homes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School diploma or GED required. Advanced studies in a related area are preferred. At least one year of experience in a human services field involving direct contact with individuals receiving services is required. Willingness to work a variable schedule including weekends and holidays.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must have an acceptable PA criminal background check, FBI clearance, and Child Abuse clearance prior to hire.

Position Type and Hours

4PM to 12AM, Saturday through Thursday, with variable days as scheduled.

Physical Demands

Must be physically able to assist clients with personal hygiene, lift clients, sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and restrain clients in emergencies.
