Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related science is preferred.
• ICP-MS/ICP-AES/ICP-OES experience strongly preferred.
• 1-5 years of analytical laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to initiate corrective action without prompting and assist co-workers.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use (or learn to use) Laboratory Information Management System.

Responsibilities

• Analyze samples using manual and complex instrumental techniques per methods and SOPs.
• Analyze, interpret and review sample results; peer review data.
• Perform quality control requirements and maintain records.
• Meet specified turnaround times and QC parameters.
• Record bench observations in notebooks and electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and maintain safety.
