Job summary

ICONA Resorts in Avalon, NJ is seeking an Expeditor to ensure the quality and timely presentation of dishes, and to keep the line neat, clean and safe. The role serves as the link between the kitchen and the dining room and requires attention to detail and speed.

Responsibilities include managing the flow of orders from servers to the kitchen, assisting in final plate prep, ensuring correct garnishes, and directing kitchen staff when orders should be produced. Full-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of restaurant expeditor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Summary/Objective

TheExpeditoris responsible forensuring the quality and proper presentation of food ina timelymatter; that food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; and that the line is always stocked neat,cleanand safe.Expeditors are the link between the kitchen and the dining room.

Essential Functions

• Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen.
• Assistin the final preparation of dishes; inspect every plate to make sure the proper garnishes have been applied and that dishes are free of smudges and spills before delivered to the guest.
• Ability todirect kitchen staff on what orders to produce or communicate with waitstaff as to where dishes need to be delivered.
• Deliver orders, as needed, tomaintainfast service.
• Complete daily/weekly cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
