Job summary

The Town of Parker, Colorado is seeking an Ice Maintenance Technician to keep the Discovery Park Ice Trail in top condition. You will operate the ice resurfacing vehicle, assist skaters, and help maintain ice quality and facility safety.

Responsibilities include daily equipment checks, safety reporting, customer service, and assisting with ice-related maintenance tasks. CPR/First Aid/AED certification is preferred or to be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ice depth gauging, flooding techniques, wash water use.
• Ability to provide customer service and resolve complaints.
• Willingness to learn and follow departmental procedures.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules/shifts.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Operate ice resurfacing vehicle at scheduled times to maintain skating surface.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the Discovery Park Ice Trail and report hazards.
• Assist customers with equipment and sharpen skates as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and file incident reports and forms.
• Maintain inventories of supplies and tools for ice resurfacing operations.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and perform daily checklists.
