Job summary

Brasada Ranch seeks an Ice Skating Rink Attendant to create a safe, fun experience for guests. You will oversee daily rink operations, skate rentals, waivers, POS transactions, and on-ice safety in a welcoming, team-driven setting.

The role is part-time and seasonal from November 21 through January 3, offering a chance to work in a beautiful Central Oregon resort with a focus on exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age or older.
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and work outdoors in winter.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide rink information and safety procedures.
• Oversee daily rink operations, rentals, and check-in procedures.
• Process skate rentals and admissions with POS system.
• Ensure waivers are signed and maintained; monitor safety rules.
• Assist guests with skate sizing and fittings; address safety concerns.

General Responsibilities

Guest Service & Customer Experience

• Greet members, guests, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Provide information regarding rink operations, skating sessions, rink rules, and safety procedures.
• Assist guests with skate sizing and rental equipment.
• Respond to questions, concerns, and guest needs with professionalism and positive problem-solving skills.
• Deliver exceptional hospitality and contribute to a memorable guest experience.

Admissions & Point of Sale Operations

• Process skate rental and admission transactions accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and payment processing procedures.
• Ensure all participants have completed and signed required liability waivers prior to entering the rink.
• Verify, collect, and maintain waiver documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Track skate rentals and ensure equipment is returned and inspected following use.

Safety & Rink Monitoring

• Monitor the ice rink and surrounding areas to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
• Enforce rink rules and safety standards in a courteous, professional manner.
• Address unsafe behavior promptly and appropriately.
• Assist guests who need support on or around the ice.
• Respond to incidents and report accidents, injuries, or maintenance concerns to management immediately.
• Conduct routine inspections of skating equipment, rental inventory, and rink areas.

Teamwork & Communication

• Communicate effectively with fellow attendants, recreation staff, and management.
• Assist with daily setup, opening, closing, and operational procedures.
• Support seasonal events, holiday programming, and special activities as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient rink operations.

Skills/Traits

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous customer service, hospitality, recreation, or retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a guest-service environment.
• Comfortable enforcing policies and safety procedures in a professional manner.
• Basic Point Of Sales and cash-handling experience preferred.
• Ice skating experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and assist guests with skate fittings.
• Ability to work outdoors and in cold winter conditions.
• Ability to observe rink activity and react quickly to safety concerns.
