Job summary

Bend Park and Recreation District is seeking part-time Ice Skate/Hockey Instructors to lead youth and adult programs. Roles involve teaching progressive skills, ensuring safety, and providing a positive learning environment across various sessions.

Two levels are described, with Instructor 2 offering leadership and mentorship. Schedules include weekday evenings and weekend sessions. Training and certification are preferred, with duties adapting to district programming needs.

Qualifications

• Ice skating/hockey instruction knowledge and fundamentals.
• Ability to plan, organize and lead classes toward goals.
• Strong communication with participants of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and supervises participants in ice skating and hockey programs.
• Ensure safe use of facilities and maintain equipment.
• Maintain records and respond to accidents according to procedures.
