Job summary

Lake Forest Academy seeks skilled rink technicians to manage daily ice rink operations, run the Zamboni, and perform routine facility maintenance. The role supports ice rentals, maintains safety protocols, and collaborates with the rink team to deliver reliable service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 1+ year of related experience. Flexible nights, weekends, and some holidays are expected, with competitive hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and valid driver’s license.
• 1+ year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Strong customer service skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to exercise good judgment.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft and Google platforms.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni Ice Resurfacer and oversee rink operations.
• Supervise facility and complete routine maintenance tasks.
• Maintain rink cleanliness and assist with ice schedule and rentals.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report to management.
• Attend safety trainings and follow all health and safety policies.
• Assist with special events and other duties as assigned.
