Job summary

City of Syracuse is seeking skilled personnel to maintain and operate ice resurfacing equipment and perform essential facility upkeep. Primary duties include safe operation of Zamboni/Olympia machines, daily maintenance tasks, accurate logging, and high-quality customer service to rental groups.

This role requires the ability to work outdoors and indoors, follow instructions, and interact positively with the public and staff.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to interact effectively with children, the public, and staff.
• Ability to perform light manual labor, outdoors and indoors as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance of ice surface within municipal ice rink facilities.
• Operate and inspect ice resurfacing machines safely.
• Perform general facility maintenance and preventative maintenance.
• Record daily ice and equipment maintenance readings.
• Complete daily and weekly ice and facility maintenance reports.
• Perform Ice Rinks Attendant duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility and provide customer service.
• Follow policies and procedures professionally.
• Support rental groups and other duties as assigned.
