Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa is seeking a friendly Rink & Retail Attendant for Merry Meritage during the holiday season. You will check guests in, manage reservations and sessions, operate retail outlets, and process transactions to deliver a memorable guest experience.

Ideal candidates are comfortable with computers and POS systems, enjoy guest interaction, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and outdoor work in cold weather is required.

Responsibilities

• Check guests into the ice rink and verify reservations, tickets, waivers, session information.

• Operate reservation, ticketing, computer, and POS systems accurately.
• Process admissions, retail purchases, rentals, exchanges, refunds per procedures.
• Assist guests with online reservations, digital waivers, and tech issues.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and reconcile cash drawers and POS activity.

Our rink and retail team plays an important role in creating an organized, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for guests from the moment they arrive.We are looking for our next Rink & Retail Attendant to join our seasonal team. This role is ideal for a team member who is comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems, enjoys interacting with guests, and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced public environment.As a Rink & Retail Attendant, you will be primarily responsible for checking guests into the ice rink, managing reservations and session information, operating retail outlets, processing transactions, and assisting guests throughout their Merry Meritage experience. You will work closely with the ice rink, retail, food and beverage, and resort teams to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.Who You AreYou are welcoming, organized, and comfortable working directly with guests. You have proficient computer skills and are confident learning and using reservation systems, point-of-sale systems, ticketing platforms, email, and other technology used to support daily operations.You communicate clearly, pay close attention to detail, and are able to remain calm while assisting multiple guests during busy periods. You take pride in maintaining accurate transactions, organized retail displays, and a positive guest experience. If you enjoy working in a festive environment and are passionate about creating memorable holiday experiences, you will fit right in at Meritage Resort & Spa.What You'll DoCheck guests into the ice rink and verify reservations, tickets, waivers, session information, and other required documentation.Welcome guests and provide clear information regarding rink sessions, operating procedures, skating requirements, rental equipment, and Merry Meritage activities.Operate reservation, ticketing, computer, and point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently.Process admissions, retail purchases, rentals, exchanges, refunds, and other transactions in accordance with company procedures.Assist guests with online reservations, digital waivers, check-in questions, and technology-related issues.Operate assigned retail outlets, including Noel & Company and other Merry Meritage retail locations.Sell merchandise, gifts, holiday products, concessions, and other retail offerings while providing knowledgeable and enthusiastic service.Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.Reconcile cash drawers, point-of-sale activity, inventory records, and other assigned financial responsibilities as directed.Restock merchandise and supplies while maintaining organized, attractive, and fully stocked retail displays.Monitor inventory levels and report low stock, damaged products, pricing concerns, and other issues to management.Assist with receiving, labeling, organizing, and storing retail merchandise and supplies.Manage guest lines and check-in flow during peak periods to ensure an efficient and welcoming arrival experience.Answer guest questions and provide information about the ice rink, retail offerings, resort amenities, holiday activations, and surrounding areas.Communicate clearly and effectively with managers and team members using radios, computers, and other communication devices.Assist with special events, holiday activations, announcements, and other Merry Meritage programming as needed.Maintain clean, organized, and presentable check-in, retail, and guest service areas.Report guest concerns, technology issues, equipment problems, inventory discrepancies, and operational challenges to management.Protect guest privacy and handle personal, payment, and reservation information with discretion.Follow all company policies, cash-handling procedures, technology guidelines, safety standards, and applicable regulations.Work collaboratively with the ice rink, retail, food and beverage, security, and resort teams.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of Merry Meritage.QualificationsPrevious experience in guest service, retail, ticketing, reservations, hospitality, or a public attraction is preferred.Proficient computer skills and the ability to confidently learn and use reservation systems, point-of-sale systems, ticketing platforms, email, and other business technology.Previous experience handling cash, credit card transactions, retail sales, or point-of-sale systems is beneficial.Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guests of all ages.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately manage reservations, transactions, waivers, inventory, and guest information.Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy check-in periods and high guest volume.Ability to learn and communicate information about rink operations, retail products, resort amenities, and holiday activations.Reliable attendance, professionalism, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.Must be comfortable working outdoors in cold weather and moving between indoor and outdoor guest areas.Must be available to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak-season periods.Physical RequirementsThis position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, and repetitive movements while working at check-in counters, retail outlets, storage areas, and guest service locations.Team members must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, move and organize retail merchandise and supplies, operate computer and point-of-sale equipment, and work indoors and outdoors in cold temperatures while maintaining professional service standards.Why Join Meritage Resort & Spa?At Meritage Resort & Spa, we believe exceptional holiday experiences are built by exceptional people.
