Job summary

South Suburban Park & Recreation District seeks a Facility Maintenance Lead - Ice to supervise custodial, zamboni, and ice facility operations. You will manage maintenance staff, coordinate scheduling and training, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with standards.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and vendor management, and may involve evening or weekend work as needed. Prior ice arena maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's Degree in Building and Custodial Maintenance or related field.
• Experience supervising custodial, maintenance, and ice facility operations.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and facility management best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ice maintenance staff, custodial services, and preventive maintenance for the facility.
• Hires, supervises, schedules, and evaluates staff; coordinates training and performance evaluations.
• Plans and directs custodial and maintenance work orders and ice facility operations.
