Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is seeking a Lead Ice Operations Specialist (Facility Maintenance Lead - Ice) to supervise ice operations, custodial and maintenance staff, and ensure safety and cleanliness of the facility.

Under the supervision of the Ice & Facility Maintenance Supervisor, this role performs routine repairs, staff scheduling, and coordination of off-season crews and work orders. The position emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and staff productivity.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ice maintenance staff, custodial services, preventativemaintenance, and repair of assigned facility with a strong focus onsafety, customer satisfaction, staff productivity, and cleanliness.
• Performs scheduling of staff and provides backup support includingcustodial tasks as needed. Reviews and approves employee biweeklytimesheets. Works with Payroll Department to resolve any pay issues.
• Plans, assigns and directs personnel engaged in custodial andpreventative maintenance, special projects, off-season crews andwork order assignments and ice facility water softener.
• Assists Supervisor in the development of project objectives,standards and procedures

Hiring Range is $52,364 to $60,555 annually based onqualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Ice & Facility MaintenanceSupervisor, this position is responsible for the supervision of thecustodial/janitorial/zamboni staff. The Facility Maintenance Lead -Ice performs skilled and supervisory work in administrative or iceoperations, custodial and preventative maintenance, construction, andrepair of the facility and related equipment. Duties include routine,quick response and emergency repairs. Performs duties in a mannerconsistent with the stated values of the organization.
