Summary

ASM Global/SMG is looking for qualified individuals to join the Ice Crew at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA. Ice Crew members prepare and maintain the ice during the hockey season along with daily operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations to ensure ice is prepared and maintained to NHL standards.
• Operate Zamboni safely and efficiently.
• Prepare and remove the ice at the beginning and end of the hockey season.
• Maintain glass and walls to ASM Global/SMG and Seattle Thunderbird standards.
• Assist with chair set‑up, set‑up, and take‑down for events such as concerts and banquets.
• Handle day‑of requests from clients for hockey games, concerts, banquets, and other events.
• Follow all SMG/ShoWare Center policies, procedures, safety codes, and laws.
• Work all hockey games, generally scheduled in evenings and weekends.
• Perform any other duties assigned.

Working Conditions

Must be able to work extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and normal business hours.

Qualifications

• Must stand, walk, and bend for the duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs or more on a regular basis.
• Must communicate in English, written and verbal.

Benefits and Compensation

• Eligible for 401(k) after 1 year and 100 hours of service.
• Holiday work paid at time and a half.
• Sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 worked, usable in 2‑hour increments or more.
• Medical, Dental, & Vision benefits after 1560 hours in a 365‑day timeframe.
