Job summary

Perry’s Ice Cream is seeking a production team member for the 1st Shift (7am to 3:30pm, Mon–Fri; OT as needed). You will add ingredients to ice cream, lift 50–60 lb pails and 20–30 lb boxes, clean and package products, and support the production and sanitation teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, age 18+, ability to stand long hours and lift up to 60 lbs, and adherence to GMPs in a fast-paced safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSE or GED required.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Be willing to be payroll through a temporary staffing service.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended amounts of time as well as maintain footing on wet/icy floors.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 60 lbs continuously.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Someone with attention to detail to follow verbal and written directions.
• Someone who is reliable, dependable, and thrives in a team environment.
• Ability to briefly enter an extreme environment of -20 degrees at times.
• Ability to use proper lifting and bending techniques.
• Someone with good basic math skills.
• Responsible for following all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's).
• Help floor technicians and sanitation technicians when needed, especially during change over.

Responsibilities

• Add ingredients into the ice cream.
• Lift and pour 50–60 lb pails of sauces and/or 20–30 lb boxes every 3–5 minutes; general housekeeping and packaging.
• Keep the work area clean and in safe condition.
• Assist in other areas to support the production and sanitation teams.
