Turkey Hill is hiring an Ice Cream Packaging Associate for a fast-paced manufacturing facility in the United States. You will feed cups and lids into the filler, verify ingredients, and monitor fill quality to ensure safe, properly labeled packages.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must work in a team environment.
• Perform all duties in GMP regulations and safety guidelines.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Zero tolerance policy for positive drug screens.

Responsabilités

• Feed cups and lids into the filler and unscrambler.
• Ensure ingredients are added prior to first sellable package and checked thereafter.
• Check container appearance, lid fit, and cleanliness before wrapping.
• Verify machine setup and correct code date for each flavor.
• Coordinate with Freezer Operator for efficient changeovers.
• Perform CIP and COP per SOPs and checklists.
• Maintain safety for people, equipment, and facility.

Hours for this position are rotating 12s, 5:55pm to 6:00am.

The Ice Cream Packaging Associate makes an impact by –

• Feed correctly identified cups and lids into the filler and unscrambler.
• Ensure that all ingredients have been added to package prior to first sellable package and by continuous visual examination thereafter.
• Check the appearance of containers and products to ensure proper lid fit, proper fill and clean package prior to wrapping, if necessary.
• Ensure machine setup is correct including correct code date before startup for each flavor and during the production run.
• Work with Freezer Operator to ensure efficient changeovers.
• Responsible for proper Clean In Place (CIP) and Clean Out of Place (COP) as required using SOPs and checklists.
• Maintain a high level of safety towards people, equipment, and building structures.

Physical Demands -

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

• The employee is required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
• The employee is required to wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
• The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an manufacturing environment for 8+ hours.
• The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
• Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
• The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
• Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
