Automation Technician

Location: Covington, MO

Pay Range: $35.50 Per Hour – Paid Bi-Weekly

Bonus eligible: $2.00 shift night differential

Shift: 3rd shift, 10pm-6am

Job Purpose

Lead innovations to drive our business growth. Support the production team by maintaining and repairing sophisticated equipment in packaging and processing areas to ensure continuous operation. Focus on safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.

Work Environment

The Covington factory operates 24/7 in a high-paced environment, producing brands such as Klondike, Popsicle, Breyers, and Good Humor.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to equipment issues, perform repairs, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Test and evaluate electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical devices.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment components.
• Replace faulty electrical parts and monitor equipment parameters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain logs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and other control systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and suggest improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, or PLC systems preferred.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and food manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to pass the NOCTI exam if selected for onsite interview.
