What you will be Doing:
- Install and terminate control wiring, instrumentation cabling, and communication lines.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems and controls.
- Coordinate with contractors for the maintenance of VRUs, combustors, and flare systems.
- Familiar with various Burner management systems a plus.
- Troubleshoot and maintain existing emissions control systems, while also overseeing the installation and implementation of new emissions control systems.
- Maintain good working relationships with various groups including production, water groups, and facilities engineering.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on control systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
- Perform the installation and configuration of control systems, including PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs.
- Assist in testing and commissioning of new control systems. Read and interpret technical documentation including electrical and pneumatic schematics, control narratives, and loop drawings.
- Ensure collaboration with other automation team members and cross-function teams to resolve technical issues.
- Be willing to continually improve professional development including non-technical subjects such as business communications, problem solving, and corporate culture.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in automation and Oil and Gas industries.
- High School Diploma required.
- Experience with ROCLink, IDEC, ABB, SCADAPak, or other PLCs and SignalFire wireless.
- HMI experience required.
- ABB RMC experience highly regarded.
- Experience with Ignition is a plus.
- Field communications experience with Cambium, Cradle Point, TCP/IP, and MODBUS communications.
- Highly organized with the ability to self-direct, multi-task, and prioritize.
- Strong application skills in Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in Midland, Texas.
- 10-hour work days, Monday through Friday.
