Kleinfelder, Inc. is seeking an ICC Special Inspector/CMT Technician for our Charlotte, NC office. The role focuses on field observations, materials testing, and reporting for buildings, bridges, and roadways, with opportunities to advance and pursue certifications.

Qualifications include 3+ years in special inspection or materials testing, ACI/ICC certifications, and a valid driver's license. Strong reporting and communication skills are essential, with a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of special inspection and/or construction materials testing experience.
• Radiation safety training for operation of a nuclear density gauge.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1.
• ICC Reinforced Concrete.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to monitor contractors and report results verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform Field Observations and Materials Sampling/Testing during construction of buildings, bridges, and roadways.
• Perform testing on construction materials including soils, reinforcing steel, concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, metal decking, roofing and paving.
• Write Daily Field Reports documenting work and indicating contract compliance/non-compliance.
