Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC in Greenville, SC seeks an ICC Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete and/or Masonry) to perform structural inspections, field testing, and reporting. The role requires interpreting plans and specifications, ensuring compliance, and communicating with project teams on construction issues.

Qualifications

• ICC Reinforced Concrete or Structural Masonry required (at least one).
• ICC Structural Steel & Bolting and ICC Structural Welding a plus.
• MSI ICC certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundations.
• Field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
