Job summary

Intertek seeks an ICC Special Inspector in Tukwila, Washington to perform testing, observations and inspections under supervision in the A/E/C field. The role covers soil and concrete testing with data reporting and client communication.

Salary is hourly with relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package. The position requires at least 2 years of inspection experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to work off shifts, read plans, and operate in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ related inspection experience.
• ICC certifications (see preferred areas).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Climb occasionally; work at heights.
• Kneel and squat occasionally; stand and walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct soil/concrete testing.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignments.
• Document test results and communicate findings with clients.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with project teams.
