Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in San Diego is seeking an ICC Soils Special Inspector to perform critical inspections and maintain detailed reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and at least three years of construction experience. This position offers an hourly wage of $28 - $35 and comprehensive benefits. Flexibility to work outside normal hours is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field and construction experience required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and pass background check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections and ensure PPE usage.
• Perform in-place density tests using the sand cone method.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain organized field files.
