ICBM Physical Security Systems Engineer
The Opportunity

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in Nuclear Weapon System Safety? Our team analyzes and evaluates Air Force nuclear weapon system designs to support nuclear safety and certification. You’ll leverage your expertise in designing robust physical security systems to protect high-value facilities and assets and apply scientific and engineering principles, criteria, and techniques to identify and assess weapon system security and inform nuclear design certification of these systems.

As an ICBM physical security systems engineer on our team you'll contribute to an interdisciplinary group of government client and contractor staff while evaluating the comprehensive nuclear safety of the client's mission. You’ll work to develop contract deliverables, including Technical Nuclear Safety Analyses (TNSA), Independent Nuclear Safety Evaluations (INSE), and technical research papers. You'll analyze design data, develop written deliverables, and assist with presenting results and reviews of weapon system safety artifacts to verify compliance with applicable government requirements. You'll construct these tasks following established plans and quality standards, with the freedom to improve processes and advance the discipline of nuclear weapon safety.

You Have
  • 3+ years of experience designing physical security controls for high-security facilities
  • 2+ years of experience evaluating, validating, or verifying system requirements
  • Experience analyzing engineering data, including specifications, models, and drawings

  • Knowledge of DoD or Air Force ICBM or nuclear weapon security policies
  • Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
