Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Fontana, CA is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair or replace damaged body parts to pre-accident condition according to factory specs. You will review orders, perform teardowns, and ensure work meets quality standards before painting.

Use frame and measuring equipment, identify parts for edging, and complete repairs per documentation. Opportunity to mentor apprentices and grow within a leading transportation network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of body shop experience.
• ICAR Welding Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders, work orders and notes to understand repairs before starting work.
• Complete repairs according to the repair order or supplement.
• Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
• Perform initial teardown of vehicle.
• Identify parts for cut-in and edging.
• Follow factory specifications and I-CAR standards during repairs.
• Sign off on all quality checks before sending the vehicle to paint.
• Re-assemble painted vehicle and parts and perform final quality review.
• Assist apprentices or less skilled technicians in developing repair skills.
