Job summary

NAES is seeking an Instrumentation Controls and Electrical Technician to maintain and repair instruments, control systems and electrical equipment in our Renewable Natural Gas process. The role involves high-skill inspection, calibration, installation, and removal of equipment and systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting across DCS/PLC and turbine control equipment, while upholding NAES safety and regulatory programs.

Qualifications

• Four years of high school level understanding as would be acquired in the area of assignment.
• Graduation from an accredited Instrument Technician Program is a plus.
• Proven track record of successful work experience at a Technician level or in a similar role with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with voltages up to 480 volts is highly desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and emergency backup systems.
• Maintain equipment files, logs, and drawings for designated equipment.
• Assist in operational and mechanical support as needed.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and conduct physical inventories.
• Calibrate instruments as scheduled/required.
• Maintain plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches, and control equipment up to 480 volts.
• Troubleshoot DCS, PLC and turbine control equipment.
• Support NAES Safety and Regulatory Compliance Programs.
